How Dr. Avi Weisfogel Helps Patients With Sleep Disorders

Dr. Avi Weisfogel is a trained dentist who now specializes in helping people with sleep issues, especially sleep apnea. Sleep issues can have significant negative effects on your health, leading to a variety of issues both physical and mental. Over the course of his career, Dr. Avi Weisfogel has been instrumental in developing a number of ways that doctors and his fellow dentists can help people who suffer from sleep problems find relief.
When thinking about who can help them deal with their sleep issues, most people wouldn’t think of a dentist. Dr. Avi Weisfogel says they would be incorrect in this assumption because dentists can help people get a good nights rest. He has helped to develop a number of ways that dentists can treat sleep apnea including through the use of dental appliances that the patient uses each night while sleeping to treat their issue.
Dr. Avi Weisfogel started out his university education by earning a B.A. in both Psychology and Biology at Rutgers University. He then attended New York University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Upon earning his medical degree he headed to New Jersey and started his own sole dental practice in 1996, Old Bridge Dental Care. He became a very popular dentist in the region, twice earning the best dentist award amongst his peers.
While treating his patients, Dr. Avi Weisfogel began to learn that a lot of them suffered from sleep issues. He thought about the ways his profession could help people dealing with these issues. He eventually developed a number of effective treatments. In 2012 he decided to pursue this area and established a company called Unlimited Sleep Patients which served as a think-tank for those in both the dentist and physician industries to share their viewpoints and best practices.
Dr. Weisfogel now operates Dental Sleep Masters, a company that is focused on the latest sleep appliances, in particular on oral appliances. The patient puts the appliance in their mouth once they’re ready for bed and it helps them to maintain healthy breathing patterns during the night which resolves the issue of sleep apnea.

Waiakea Water is Sustainable, Healthy, and Socially Responsible

For some companies, making a list of the top 5000 fastest growing businesses in the United states might not mean too much, but when a company places slightly above the 400 mark on that list, it is a big deal. As one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. today, Waiakea bottled water placed at number 414 on the list published by Inc. 5000. This brand of bottled water has had an increased growth of more than one thousand percent, which has placed it alongside such impressive names in the business world as Microsoft and Patagonia.

The founder and CEO of Waiakea water, Ryan Emmons, has always striven to present his brand in an innovative way. He focuses his marketing efforts on presenting the water as coming from a sustainable resource. Since the water is sourced from a natural spring at the base of the Mauna Loa volcano on the island of Hawaii, the water captured for the Waiakea brand is constantly renewed by the rain and snow that falls there.

The slogan the company uses to draw attention to their brand, encompasses Waiakea water’s sustainability, its health benefits and the company’s actions toward social responsibility. As a healthy beverage, this water is naturally enriched with calcium, potassium, silica and magnesium. This occurs when the water passes through underground layers of volcanic rock. It also has a pH level that makes it better for hydration. As an alkaline water, it has a smooth, refreshing taste that is uniquely its own.

The aspect of social responsibility taken on behalf of the team behind the Waiakea brand comes from the company’s partnership with an organization called Pump Aid. This organization brings clean water to underdeveloped areas in Africa through the construction of water pumps. Mr. Emmons has commented on the partnership his company has with this non-profit organization, which has helped serve more than 450,000 people in the region of Malawi with clean water. For every liter of Waiakea sold the company donates 650 liters of water to Pump Aid. This amount is equivalent to about 5 percent of the company’s profits.
